Blake Lively has made her first major public appearance since her reported wedding to "Green Lantern" co-star Ryan Reynolds last month, dazzling onlookers in a Chanel dress and finally showing off what is believed to be her engagement ring.
The 25-year-old "Gossip Girl" actress, who is a spokesmodel for the brand, wore a backless, shining silver Chanel Fall 2012 Couture dress at the designer's "Bijoux De Diamant" collection's 80th Anniversary celebration on Tuesday Her dress featured an empire waist, pale pink accents on its halter top and skirt, which fell below her knees, as well as a silver chain and beading that ran over her shoulders and down her back.
While she kept her hands in pockets for a while, the actress was also photographed wearing an enormous, oval-cut pink and white diamond ring on her left hand. People magazine said it is her engagement ring, adding that it was created by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. Her spokesperson had no immediate comment.
Lively actress completed her look with grey nail polish and silver Christian Louboutin pumps.
Lively and Reynolds reportedly tied the knot in September in South Carolina. The two have not commented about the issue publicly and never announced their engagement to the press. "Access Hollywood" reported that Lively's publicist "insisted no wedding questions be asked" at the Chanel event.
While the designer's celebration marked Lively's first major public appearance since they married, the pair appeared together at another wedding - Amber Tamblyn's to David Cross. Fellow guest DJ Questlove Tweeted photos of them at the event, calling them "The Reynolds."
