Just as television viewers were able to watch Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum fall in love on "The Bachelorette" in 2010, they will also get a front row seat to the couple's upcoming wedding.
The reality pair's nuptials will air as part of a television special called "The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.'s Wedding," which will broadcast on ABC in December, the network announced on October 15. An official airdate has not yet been announced.
Hebert and Rosenbaum will be the second "Bachelorette" couple to tie the knot. The first was season 1 "Bachelorette" Trista Rehn and contestant Ryan Sutter, whose wedding aired in December 2003. It will be the third televised marriage for "The Bachelor" franchise, the second being the March 2010 wedding special of former "Bachelor" star Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney. That couple recently announced they are expecting a child together.
There was one more wedding within "The Bachelor" franchise, but it was not televised. "Bachelor Pad" contestants Holly Durst and Blake Julian wed in June 2012.
Rosenbaum proposed to Hebert during the finale of "The Bachelorette" in August 2011 while in Fiji. The runner-up Ben Flajnik also proposed to Hebert but she chose Rosenbaum instead. Flajnik would go on to be the "Bachelor" for season 16 and propose to contestant Courtney Robertson but the two called off their engagement earlier this month.
