Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj and Linkin Park have been added to the list of performers for the 2012 American Music Awards (AMAs) ceremony.

Swift, 22, is expected to belt country-pop tunes from her new 2012 album, "Red," which features her hit single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." The musician recently performed on "GMA," dazzling the stage with performances of her new single "Red" and her 2008 hit "Love Story." Her new record was released on October 22 and is currently No. 1 on iTunes.

Minaj, 29, is known for her numerous hit singles such as "Super Bass" and "Starships," her recent judging gig on "American Idol" and her second studio album, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded," which was released in April. Minaj is featured in Justin Bieber's new music video," Beauty and a Beat," which was released as part of what many believe was an online publicity stunt involving his claim about a stolen computer.

Linkin Park recently released their fifth studio album, "Living Things," which features their new singles "Burn It Down and "Lost in the Echo." The album is their first in nearly two years, and the group is slated to perform at the November awards ceremony.

The ceremony, which marks its 40th anniversary this year, has added the three super-talents to their list of performers. The show will air live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, November 18 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

On October 9, Aguilera appeared before the press in Los Angeles to announce the nominees of the 2012 American Music Awards, also gushing that she'd be doing the first big performance from her new album "Lotus" on the show. The album, which is set for release five days after the ceremony, features her single "Your Body" which she debuted in September.

Minaj and Rihanna lead the pack of nominations with four individual nods. Linkin Park received a nod for Favorite Artist - Alternative Rock and Swift is up for the award for Favorite Female Artist - Country.

Justin Bieber, his mentor Usher, Maroon 5, Drake and the group One Director each earned three nominations. Other nominees include Rihanna's ex Chris Brown, Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry and Pitbull. This year's ceremony also features a new category - Electronic Dance Music. See the full list of nominations.
