Hulk Hogan and Bubba the Love Sponge Clem have ettled a lawsuit over a leaked tape that features the wrestling legend having sex with the DJ's ex-wife, Heather Clem.
On October 15, Hogan sued the two for invasion of privacy after the footage surfaced online. The 59-year-old, whose real name is Terry Bollea, says the tape was filmed six years ago, while he was still married to now-ex-wife Linda Bollea, and that he and consensual sex with Heather but did not know he was being videotaped.
Hogan's publicist said in a statement to the Associated Press on Monday that the terms of the settlement are confidential.
Bubba the Love Sponge is a popular disk jockey and host of "The Bubba the Love Sponge Show" on one Cox Radio as well as online via RadioIO. He recently took to his radio show to issue an apology to his friend and wrestling legend.
"I am now convinced that Hulk Hogan was unaware of the presence of the recording device in my bedroom," the DJ said. "I am convinced [Hulk Hogan] had no knowledge that he was being taped...It is my belief that Hulk is not involved, and has not ever been involved, in trying to release the video, or exploit it, or otherwise gain from the video's release in any way."
On October 4, Gawker.com posted snippets of the sex tape footage, spurring Hogan to file separate $100 million lawsuit against the popular website. It is still pending.
News of the sex tape leak came right around the time Hogan's ex-wife was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving near Los Angeles. Linda, who finalized her divorce from Hogan in 2011, has declined to comment about the sex tape.
