Ellen DeGeneres took a crack at being Sofia Vergara for Halloween.
On an episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that aired on the holiday on October 31, the host and comedienne dressed up as the Colombian "Modern Family" bombshell, wearing a sparkling, teal mermaid gown with a split on her behind, which was padded. Vergara had suffered such a wardrobe malfunction with a similar dress at the 2012 Emmy Awards in September.
"Muchas gracias, everybody, muchas gracias," DeGeneres, also sporting a long, brunette wig over her cropped blonde haircut, said to her cheering audience on an episode of her series that aired on the holiday on Wednesday, October 31. "Hola! My name is Sofia Vergara, and I am easy, breezy, beautiful Cover Girl from Colombia."
Vergara and DeGeneres have appeared in CoverGirl cosmetics commercials separately and together.
"Happy Halloween. As you can see, I put my pumpkins out," DeGeneres said.
Vergara herself, wearing a short, black dress, then walked out and pretended to be angry - even crossing her arms.
"Your ass looks huge," she told DeGeneres.
Vergara eventually failed to keep a straight face and the two ended their skit with a lively dance. The actress is known for her sense of humor as much as for her sex symbol status and curvy figure and has in interviews been candid about both, even revealing her 32 F bra cup size. She Tweeted photos of her wardrobe malfunction soon after it occurred and talked about it on Katie Couric's daytime talk show "Katie."
DeGeneres, who recently received the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor from The Kennedy Center (check out a video of her speech), dressed up in Halloween in 2011 as child star Sophia Grace Brownlee, a frequent guest on her show and a British rap and YouTube sensation. In 2010, DeGeneres appeared as "Jersey Shore" reality actress Snooki ... or rather, her hair.
