Kelsey Grammer and his wife Kayte recently attended the annual Playboy Mansion Halloween Party, known for its display of naked Playmates and other scantily clad women, and brought his baby daughter along.
On October 30, TMZ published a photo of Grammer's baby "passed out" in a baby carrier with a blanket covering her body at the bash. Scores of people criticized the move in comments posted on the website and on Twitter.
Grammer, a 57-year-old actor known for his roles on "Frasier" and the Starz series "Boss," later explained that they were unable to find someone to watch 3-month-old Faith.
"Kayte is breast-feeding and we do not have a nanny or a trusted baby-sitter at this time, so Faith goes everywhere with us," Grammer said in a statement obtained by ABC News. "We enjoyed the party with a few of our friends, the baby slept as her ears were covered the entire time and we left shortly after midnight."
"Kayte dressed as a witch (her hat was missing as she had removed it because her wig was itching and it was hot) - I threw together an uninspired Dracula," he continued. "We enjoyed the evening. We love our child. Kayte is my wife and lady love (who is 31 and goes by the name Kayte Grammer, by the way, not Walsh). The world is round. All our eyes are blue. Happy Halloween and Cock-a-doodle-doo!"
Grammer and Walsh were engaged in late 2010 while the actor's divorce from ex-wife Camille Grammer, former "Real Housewife of Beverly Hills," was being finalized. The pair officially tied the knot in February 2011.
