Miranda Lambert got a mustache from the National Milk Mustache "got milk?" Campaign.
The ad was unveiled at the Country Music Association headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee on October 31, before the annual CMA Awards show.
"It's universal. I like to do things that appeal to everybody and anybody can relate to," Lambert told Billboard magazine. "I was part of the cotton campaign and this one too felt all-American. So many different celebrities from different genres have done it, and I really felt like it was a good fit. I'm a country girl. I grew up on a farm and I grew up drinking milk and I still do. It felt perfect."
The country singer said that the "got milk" Campaign's "The Breakfast Project" fit her life, because she makes it a point to eat breakfast at home every day and always incorporates non-fat milk.
The ad features Lambert sitting outside a barn house, wearing ripped denim, with a glass of milk, bowl of cereal and her guitar. The ad copy reads, "Fine tune your morning. got milk? Nourish every day."
At the CMA Awards, Lambert is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, an honor that she took home in 2011. She is up against Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Martina McBride and Taylor Swift, who won Entertainer of the Year in 2011.
Country singers Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are set to host the County Music Association event for the fifth time, consecutively.
The 46th annual CMA Awards ceremony is set to take place on Thursday, November 1, at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena and will air live on the ABC network at 8 p.m. ET.
