OTRC: Michael Nouri of 'Flashdance' arrested on suspicion of domestic violence

Michael Nouri, who starred in the popular 1983 romantic drama and dance film "Flashdance," was recently arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.

The Beverly Hills Police Department said in a statement obtained by OTRC.com that around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, it received a 911 call reporting "unknown trouble" at the actor's Beverly Hills home. Officers arrived at the house, "contacted a man and a woman" and it was then determined that a domestic violence incident had occurred.

"As a result, Mr. Michael Nouri was placed under arrest," the police statement said, adding that the 66-year-old actor was charged with Battery (Against a Person in a Dating Relationship), False Imprisonment and Obstructing the use of a Wireless Device.

The actor's rep had no immediate comment about the matter. Nouri was booked around 6:45 p.m. and was released from jail around 1 a.m. on Friday morning after posting $50,000 bail. A hearing for him has been scheduled for November 30.

The women involved in Thursday's incident was not identified. Nouri has been divorced twice, most recently in 2001.
