Chino robbery suspect, 'AK-47 Bandit,' strikes Idaho bank, FBI says

REXBURG, Idaho

Investigators released photos from his latest heist at an East Idaho Credit Union in Rexburg on Wednesday.

Wearing a mask and black gloves, the bandit threatened employees and customers with an AK-47 assault rifle and ordered his way into the credit union's vault.

Authorities believe he is the same suspect who robbed a California Bank and Trust in Chino on Feb. 29 and shot and wounded a police officer as he fled. The bandit is also suspected of robbing banks in Vacaville, Sacramento, and Washington state.
