The incident happened in the 1300 block of East D Street around 6:10 a.m. on Oct. 17.
According to police, the victim was walking by the suspect's vehicle when the suspect, later identified as 59-year-old Lorenzo Valadez, unzipped his pants and exposed himself. The 16-year-old girl was able to flee and report the incident.
During the investigation, detectives were able to link Valadez to the crime. The suspect is a registered sex offender with multiple misdemeanor and felony convictions for prior indecent exposure and child annoyance incidents.
Valadez was arrested Wednesday in the 11500 block of Banana Avenue in Fontana after a $100,000 warrant was issued. He is currently being held at West Valley Detention Center for indecent exposure with priors.
Valadez's vehicle is described as a tan, 1998 Plymouth Voyager van with license plate number 3XQA086.
Police allege that there may be additional victims since they believe his car was parked in the area for several weeks prior to the incident.
Additional victims or anyone who may have seen Valadez or his vehicle is urged to contact the Ontario Police Department at (909) 986-6711 or Detective Gary Naranjo at (909) 395-2764.
