BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.

It was sold Saturday as part of a two-day auction of Hollywood memorabilia, gathered by auction house Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills.

Also auctioned off was the purple skirt Marilyn Monroe wore in "River of No Return." It sold for $50,000 as did Steve McQueen's racing jacket.

Buyers also snapped up the dress Julie Andrews wore in the "Sound of Music."

The immense collection of Hollywood history also included sunglasses worn by Jean Reno in "Leon," which went for $8,320, and shades owned by Johnny Depp, which sold for $3,250.

Julien's Auctions Hollywood collection was so vast, pieces of royal wedding cakes were also auctioned off.
