Vets who love to hit the slopes can do so for free Monday at Mountain High ski resort, while those who love to hit a baseball are participating in batting practice at Dodger Stadium. More than 100 military members and veterans from Wounded Warriors, Operation Mend, Welcome Back Veterans and Veterans in Film and Television are expected at the ballpark and will be joined by Magic Johnson, third baseman Luis Cruz and alumni Tim Leary, Paul Lo Duca, among others.

In Temecula, former and active-duty servicemen and women can stop by Pechanga Indian Casino for a free meal. Free lunch will be served between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and free dinner will be offered between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Former and current service members must present a valid military identification card, discharge papers or veterans' organization card.
