Actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher of "Reba" and "Animal Practice" fame and husband Nick Swisher, formerly of the New York Yankees, are expecting a little ... Swisher.
The two announced their happy baby news on their social media accounts on Monday, November 12.
"We are so excited to finally be able to share our exciting news with you! We are expecting a little Swisher in the spring of 2013!" Swisher wrote on his Facebook page. "Words can't describe how blessed we feel to be expanding our family and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new addition. Your support and kindness has meant so much to us throughout the years and we wanted to personally share the news with you all."
Garcia posted a similar message on her Twitter page, adding: "Feeling so blessed & beyond excited!"
This is first child for the couple, who wed in December 2010.
Swisher started playing for the New York Yankees in 2009, helping the MLB team win the World Series, and became a free agent earlier this month.
Garcia has starred in several television shows. She played Sam on "Are You Afraid of the Dark?," Vicki Appleby on "Freaks and Geeks," Cheyenne Hart-Montgomeryon "Reba," Megan Smith on "Privileged, Bree Buckley on "Gossip Girl," Mia Putney on "Better With You" and Dorothy Rutledge on NBC's "Animal Practice," which was canceled weeks ago.
