Kristen Stewart recently graced the black carpet at what is believed to be the final major "Twilight" event - the premiere of the last film in the series, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," and took a moment to reflect on how her experience playing Bella has helped her grow.
"I was 17 when I started this whole experience and I'm 22 now," Stewart told OTRC.com. "I think at that period of your life, it's a pretty normal thing to realize that anything that scares you should push you, not keep you from living your life ... I've gotten that from Bella in a huge way, and I think that's why everyone is so excited, they get the same thing."
Stewart, who dazzled the black carpet in a strapless, nude Zuhair Murad gown, plays Bella Swan, a human who marries vampire Edward Cullen, portrayed by Robert Pattinson. She becomes a vampire after giving birth to their daughter following a rapid and dangerous pregnancy.
The starlet went on to explain how the whole "Twilight" experience has given her a new level of confidence.
"You know, this whole becoming a vampire thing is a huge metaphor for growing up," Stewart continued. "And I think, you know, even though I'm still really young, I definitely credit 'Twilight' with a lot of confidence that I have, which sounds like I'm taking a lot of credit for something but I'm not - I just feel so solid with these guys. When you share something like that, it's so unique - it really does fill you with something."
The film's world premiere took place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on November 12 and was attended by most of "Twilight"s finest, including Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed and others (Check out photos from the star-studded event).
In "Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," Stewart is seen adapting to her new life as an immortal, as she and her husband and family prepare for an epic showdown with the Volturi, an evil and powerful coven of vampires. The film is believed to be the final installment of the popular vampire franchise, and is set to hit theaters on November 16.
