Charles Ferguson, 51, of J.R. Ewing Guard Dogs, was arrested Tuesday on three felony and nine misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.
Deceased dogs were found during the investigation but allegations include denying animals sufficient food and water and medical care. SPCA Los Angeles worked with Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control to gather evidence.
Ferguson was released from custody Tuesday night after posting $60,000 bail. If convicted, he could be sentenced to 13 1/2 years in prison and fines up to $240,000.
