San Bernardino family counselor accused of pimping 15-year-old girl

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.

Daron Whitworth, 42, of San Bernardino was arrested on Thursday. He worked as a family specialist with EMQ FamiliesFirst, a non-profit agency that provides mental health services, foster care and social services to children and families in San Bernardino County.

In addition to Whitworth, an arrest warrant has been issued for 30-year-old Jacory Williams for his alleged role in the crime. A third suspect is already in custody on unrelated charges.

The three are accused of selling sexual services via the Internet and coercing a 15-year-old into prostitution.

They face charges of human trafficking, pimping a minor under 16 years of age, pandering by procuring a minor under age 16, child abuse, procuring a child to engage in a lewd act, contacting or communicating with a minor for a sexual offence, unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, corporal injury to a cohabitant, false imprisonment by violence and sodomy of a person under 18.
