Evangeline Lilly walked the red carpet at "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" premiere in New Zealand on Wednesday, November 28, with a new hairstyle.
The former "LOST" actress, who also appears in "The Hobbit" as a new elf character, showed off a shorter haircut with blonde highlights. Previously, Lilly's hair was long and dark brown.
In the pictures above Lilly, 33, is seen at "The Hobbit" premiere on the left and right while in the center photo the actress appears at the premiere of "Real Steel" on October 2, 2011.
Director Peter Jackson announced on his Facebook page back in June 2011 that the actress had been cast in the movie trilogy as a new character -- the "Woodland Elf, Tauriel."
"Her name means 'daughter of Mirkwood' and, beyond that, we must leave you guessing! (No, there is no romantic connection to Legolas)," he added referring to the elf character [played by Orlando Bloom in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy].
In May 2011, the actress welcomed her first child, a boy, with boyfriend Norman Kali. Lilly initially kept quiet about the reports of the child's birth but later opened up about motherhood while promoting "Real Steel."
"Motherhood is a joy! I have dreamed about being a mother since I was 12-years-old and there's nothing disappointing about it," the actress told Us Weekly in October 2011. "I think everything I say about motherhood sounds so cliche, but it's true."
