The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has named Francesca Eastwood as Miss Golden Globe 2013.
Eastwood is the 19-year-old daughter of Oscar-winning actor and director Clint Eastwood and actress Frances Fisher and was introduced as the 2013 honoree on Thursday, November 29.
The title of Miss Golden Globe is usually given to the child of a celebrity and is invited to help during the ceremony. Earlier this year, Andie MacDowell's daughter Rainey Qualley was Miss Golden Globe.
Other previous Miss Golden Globe participants include Demi Moore's daughter Rumer Willis in 2009, Jack Nicholson's daughter Lorraine Nicholson in 2007 and Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith's daughter Dakota Johnson in 2006. Griffith, who is the daughter of Peter Griffith and Tippi Hedren, also served as Miss Golden Globe in 1975.
Men can also serve in the ceremony as Mr. Golden Globe. Past participants include John Clark Gable in 1995, Freddie Prinze Jr. in 1996 and A.J. Lamas in 2003.
Francesca Eastwood is an actress but she is likely best known for starring with her stepmother, Dina Eastwood, her half-sister, Morgan Eastwood, and the South African boy band Overtone in the E! reality series "Mrs. Eastwood and Company." She's is also currently enrolled at the University of Southern California.
Eastwood spoke to OTRC.com shortly after the announcement was made and said when she found out, "I was so excited. I was like, 'Are you serious?' and then I screamed."
She said she had been to the Golden Globes before as a little girl with her father.
So did her famous dad give her any advice? Francesca Eastwood said, "Not really. I know that he's going to be giving me advice like the day of but you know, he always just tells me stay poised and classy."
She also said she is excited to meet the hosts for the ceremony, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, because she is "obsessed with them."
Golden Globe Award nominations will be announced December 13. The 2013 Golden Globe Awards are set to air live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday, January 13 from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. ET on NBC.
