OTRC: Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs in first official picture from 'jOBS' - See photo

Ashton Kutcher sure looks the part of Steve Jobs.

The former "That '70s Show" actor and current "Two and a Half Men" star appears in the first official photo released from the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic called "jOBS" seen above. The picture was released on Monday, December 3, along with the announcement that "jOBS" will close the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

Kutcher stars as Jobs in the film which chronicles 30 defining years in the tech innovator and entrepreneur's life. The film is described by the film festival as "a candid, inspiring and personal portrait of the one who saw things differently."

Kutcher's casting as Jobs was announced in April and the film also stars Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad -- who plays Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons and Matthew Modine. The movie was directed by Joshua Michael Stern, who wrote and directed the movie "Swing Vote."

"Ashton Kutcher's performance I thought was quite remarkable," John Cooper, the director of the Sundance Film Festival, told The Hollywood Reporter. "It's a very formidable performance, and it seemed like he really tried to grasp all the nuances of who Steve Jobs was."

"jOBS" is not the only biopic about the Apple innovator in the works. There's also a film about Jobs being written by Aaron Sorkin, according to The Daily Beast. Sorkin told the outlet of his film in November, "This entire movie is going to be three scenes, and three scenes only, that all take place in real time."

Jobs died at the age of 56 in October 2011 due to complications from pancreatic cancer. Kutcher was one of the first celebrities to react to the news of Jobs' death, writing on Twitter on October 5, "Today we lost a Giant who will be missed even by those who didn't know him. We have all surfed on the wake of Steve Jobs ship. Now we must learn to sail, but we will never forget our skipper."
