OTRC: Holly Madison hospitalized: 'Morning sickness took hold,' pregnant Playboy star says (Photo)

Kate Middleton, the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge and wife of the UK's Prince William, was not the only one recently hospitalized for severe morning sickness.

Holly Madison, a former Playboy model and ex-girlfriend of the magazine's founder Hugh Hefner, was also admitted to a hospital for a similar ailment.

"Almost 7 months and morning sickness took hold!" the 32-year-old Tweeted on Monday, alongside an Instagram photo of herself lying on a hospital bed with what appears to be an IV tube on her arm. "Glad to be otherwise ok, tho. (sic)"

"Thank you for all the get well wishes!" she added. "Keeping me entertained-forgot to bring a book with me."

Madison, whose life at the Playboy Mansion was documented in the E! reality show "The Girls Next Door," announced her pregnancy in August, saying that she and boyfriend Pasquale Rotella, found of the Electric Daisy Carnival, were expecting their first child. She revealed in October that it is a girl and also shared a photo of a sonogram.

Madison recently told the Las Vegas Sun: "I want six kids. We'll see how it goes, but I want a big family."

In recent years, she has performed at the topless burlesque show Peepshow at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. She was recently replaced by Coco, wife of Ice-T and co-star of their reality show "Ice Loves Coco."

Madison continues to attend promotional events in the city as well as in Los Angeles. Three days ago, on December 1, she appeared at the House of Blues Las Vegas' 20th Anniversary celebration, benefiting The Animal Foundation. In mid-November, Madison attended the launch of a premium chocolate line at the new Wonka store at Sweet! Hollywood.

The UK's Duchess of Cambridge's pregnancy and ailment, which is technically referred to as Hyperemesis Gravidarum, was revealed on Monday. This is the first child for the 30-year-old and William, known as the Duke of Cambridge. The baby is expected to become the heir to the British throne, currently occupied by the prince's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

A St. James's Palace spokesman said on Tuesday that Kate remains hospitalized but "is continuing to feel better.
