Brooke Mueller, an actress and the ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen, has entered rehab, reports say.
Mueller's lawyer, Yale Galanter, told E! News on December 11, that his client is seeking treatment for addition issues related to Adderall use. The drug is often used to treat symptoms Attention Deficit Disorder. Galanter previously denied that Mueller had been rushed to the hospital after a drug overdose.
On December 7, Mueller was taken to an emergency room but the actress' spokesperson told the entertainment site at the time, "An assistant thought Brooke was nonresponsive while she was napping and hastily called an ambulance ... As a precaution, Brooke was brought to a local hospital and discharged after an hour. She was diagnosed with exhaustion and dehydration and is now fine and resting at home. That's it."
Mueller, 35, has done multiple stints in rehab and has long struggled with addiction. The site notes that her last stay in rehab was in May and allegedly related to crack-cocaine addiction.
Mueller was sentenced to a year of probation in May stemming from an arrest in December where she was charged with felony cocaine possession and assault. Mueller plead guilty to the drug possession charge, according to E! News, and the other charges against her were dropped. The rehab program was part of a plea deal she struck in March. Mueller was also in outpatient rehab in December 2011.
Sheen and Mueller married in 2008. In August 2010, Sheen pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge regarding a confrontation with Mueller that had occurred in Aspen, on Christmas Day in 2009. The former couple's divorce was finalized in May 2011. Sheen and Mueller are parents to twin sons Bob and Max. Sheen has three other children from previous relationships.
