Will Garrett Hedlund reprise his role as Sam Flynn in a new "TRON" film?
The 28-year-old actor reportedly confirmed to NextMovie.com that he will reprise his role for a new rumored "TRON" film.
"Disney's very excited," he told the website about the project. "That's about that. You know, yeah, I'm very excited, Disney's very excited."
A spokesperson for Hedlund had no immediate comment when asked by OTRC.com to confirm the actor's remarks.
Earlier this month it was reported that Disney was moving ahead with a sequel to the 2010 film "TRON: Legacy" called "TRON 3," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The studio is reportedly in negations with Jesse Wigutow to write a new draft of the film.
"TRON: Legacy" director Joseph Kosinski is also reportedly attached to direct the new film as well. "TRON: Legacy" grossed $400 million worldwide.
Hedlund will be seen next on the big screen in "On The Road" as Dean Moriarty. Kirsten Stewart plays his love interest, the 16-year-old Marylou. Sam Riley plays Sal Paradise and the film also stars Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Elisabeth Moss and Viggo Mortensen. "On The Road" is adapted from the critically acclaimed beat novel of the same name by Jack Kerouac.
