Bethenny Frankel and husband Jason Hoppy are splitting up.
Frankel, known for her appearance on the Bravo series "The Real Housewives of New York," and her husband Hoppy are calling it quits after three years of marriage."It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating," Frankel said in a statement obtained by OTRC.com. "This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family."
"We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority," she continued in the statement. "This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us."
Frankel also posted a cryptic Tweet on December 23, saying to her 1.1 million followers: "I am heartbroken. I am sad. We will work through this as a family."
Frankel and Hoppy appeared together in the Bravo reality series "Bethenny Ever After." Frankel married Hoppy in 2010 and gave birth to their daughter Bryn, 2, in May 2010. The couple's wedding and Frankel's pregnancy was documented on the show "Bethenny Getting Married?"
Frankel came to fame by starring on "The Real Housewives of New York" for three seasons in 2008, and in February, the personality revealed that she had recently suffered a miscarriage.
The reality star, who has developed a line of cocktail beverages under the Skinnygirl brand, is also New York Times best-selling author with diet and self-help books like "A Place of Yes" and the Skinnygirl chef also signed a three-book fiction deal with Touchstone Fireside and released her first fiction book called "Skinnydipping" in April.
