Moreno Valley Wal-Mart evacuated after gunman scare

MORENO VALLEY, Calif.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies said they received a call just before 6 a.m. at the 24-hour Wal-Mart Supercenter on Moreno Beach Road about a man dressed in camouflage and possibly armed with a shotgun or assault rifle. According to authorities, the man asked for the store manager. No one was injured.

Authorities set up a perimeter to search for the man. A K9 unit was brought in to assist with the search.

Deputies believe he fled out the back of the door. Officials evacuated the store to search for the man, but did not find him. Officials said the store was reopening at about 11 a.m.
