Brandy Norwood is set to kick off her new year in a big way ... engaged!
Norwood, 33, is engaged to music executive Ryan Press, according to a report published by Us magazine on December 26.
"They are thrilled and happy and Brandy feels this is so right," the outlet quoted an unnamed source as saying.
The singer's spokesperson had no immediate comment.
Norwood was previously in a relationship with Robert "Big Bert" Smith, a composer, record producer and songwriter. The pair share 10-year-old daughter Sy'rai.
The "Moesha" star talked to the weekly magazine in August, and explained why she and Smith are such a perfect match.
"I had given up on love a long time ago. It just didn't seem to work for me, so I was single for a very long time," she told Us Weekly. "I stopped looking for love and then I ran into my boyfriend. He just loves me for who I am. I don't have to camouflage anything for him or put on a mask. I can completely be myself and he loves me so much and I love him just the way he is, too."
The singer recently released her sixth studio album, "Two Eleven," in October. The album debuted at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200 with the first three weeks of sales reaching 65,000 copies. It also debuted on top of the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums, largely thanks to the record's single, "Put It Down," which features Chris Brown.
The singer also stars in the BET comedy "The Game" alongside Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall. The singer plays the character Chardonnay in the show, which is a spin-off of the long-running CW series "Girlfriends."
The "What About Us" singer is set to appear in Tyler Perry's 2013 drama film, "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor," alongside Robbie Jones, Vanessa Williams and Kim Kardashian.
In January 2011, the singer denied a report by gossip site Media Takeout that was claiming she was pregnant, saying on her official Twitter account: "Media takeout is a hilarious! Now I'm expecting a child? WOW!!! Please check out the story for your morning comedy..lol."
