Bethenny Frankel has started the divorce process to end her marriage to husband Jason Hoppy after two years.
Frankel reportedly filed paperwork in New York earlier this week according to People magazine. A spokesperson for Frankel had no immediate comment on the report. The couple announced their separation in late December.
"It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating," Frankel said in a statement at the time obtained by OTRC.com. "This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family."
"We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority," she continued in the statement. "This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us."
Frankel and Hoppy wed in March 2010 and Frankel gave birth to the couple's first child, a daughter named Bryn, in May 2010. Frankel's pregnancy and wedding were chronicled in the series "Bethenny Getting Married?" It was the second marriage for Frankel.
The couple appeared together on several seasons of the Bravo reality show "Bethenny Ever After." Frankel gained fame after appearing on three seasons of "The Real Housewives of New York."
Frankel, who has developed a line of cocktail beverages under the Skinnygirl brand, is also New York Times best-selling author with diet and self-help books like "A Place of Yes."
