There is a 30 percent chance of Monday morning rain and windy conditions with temps in the mid 60s in metro Los Angeles and Orange County, and in the valleys and Inland Empire. The high desert will get temps in the mid 50s. Local mountains will get temps in the low 40s.
After exiting the region, the storm is expected to leave behind strong winds of up to 50 mph in some areas, the National Weather Service said. The strongest winds were expected in the mountains and the San Gabriel Valley foothills.
Dangerous rip currents are also forecast to affect all Southland beaches through Monday.
The wet weather was expected to return to the region Thursday and Friday.
