Katherine Webb, Miss Alabama USA 2012, became a trending topic online on Monday night and has gained at least 100,000 new Twitter followers after being shown sitting in the crowd at the BCS National Championship Game, which she attended to cheer on her boyfriend, University of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron.

During ESPN's coverage of the football game, which saw the University of Alabama's Crimson Tide beat Notre Dame's Fighting Irish, 42-14, Webb, 23, appeared expressionless as she sat behind McCarron's mother at the game.

"You see that lovely lady there, she does go to Auburn, but she's also Miss Alabama and that's AJ McCarron's girlfriend," commentator Brent Musburger said about the brunette. "You quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women. What a beautiful woman. Wow. If you're a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the back yard with pops!"

Webb had several hundred Twitter followers before the game, the Associated Press reported. As of Tuesday afternoon, she has more than 175,000, thanks to trends she sparked on Twitter and Google.

Arizona Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett even Tweeted her his phone number and suggested they meet after the game, the Associated Press said. He later said: '[Expletive] that was suppose to be DM [direct message]" and also posted a photo of a screenshot of Webb at the game with a speech bubble that reads: "This game is boring. Can't wait to have wingstop with Dockett owwww."

McCarron seemed to take it in stride, telling Dockett on "@ddockett u better worry ab being in them playoffs, then going to king of diamonds homie.. #betterkeepdreaming like the rest of these dudes."

Webb has not commented about Musburger's favorable remarks about her, Dockett's Tweets or about her newfound online popularity, but said on Twitter: "So extremely blessed... @10AJMcCarron. Congrats to Alabama and making history! #BCSChamps."

Webb was among the top 10 finalists at the Miss USA 2012 pageant, which took place last June.

But Webb has a different pageant job in her future. Donald Trump, head of the Miss Universe Organization, Tweeted on Tuesday: "We are going to ask Katherine Webb to be a judge at the Miss USA Pageant coming up in Las Vegas."

@realDonaldTrump Good talking to you today," she Tweeted back. "I know me and @10AJMcCarron are looking forward to coming to #NYC soon!"
