Eva Longoria is lending her voice to a character on a Canadian animated series called "Mother Up!"
The former "Desperate Housewives" star will play Rudi Wilson, a former music executive who is now a hopeless suburban mom, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
City, the Canadian network, has picked up the show along with Hulu, the online streaming site that features movie and television series. The two companies have picked up 13 episodes of the show, and the episodes will be a half-hour long. Longoria, 37, will also serve as an executive producer.
"She's a crazy, irresponsible mother, that all mother fear they are," Longoria told The Hollywood Reporter. "She barely keeps her kids alive with bizarre, improvised solutions to the endless challenges of parenting."
Since "Desperate Housewives" left the airwaves, Longoria has appeared in films like "The Baytown Outlaws" and "A Dark Truth." "Mother Up!" will reportedly have a 2013 debut date.
In October, it was announced that Longoria had signed on as an executive producer for the upcoming NBC reality dating series called "Ready for Love."
