Is Justin Timberlake bringing sexy (music) back again?
"Someone asked me the other day, 'So are you just done with music?' It means more to me than anybody else in the world," he said. "Look, I've only done two albums in 10 years. That's the way I really look at it. What does the next decade mean to me?"
Timberlake released his first studio album, "Justified," in 2002 and his second and most recent, "FutureSex/LoveSounds," which contains the hit track "SexyBack," hit stores in 2006. He was also featured on Timbaland's 2009 single "Carry Out."
"I'm the one who sits and is obsessive about it before you even get to hear it," Timberlake says in his video. "As close as I get to it, I don't know that I could physically torture myself that much year in and year out and expect it to fulfill me the way that it does and the way that it is right now."
"I don't want to put anything out that I feel like is something I don't love," he adds. "You just don't get that every day. You have to wait for it."
He is then seen in a recording studio, wearing headphones.
"I'm ready," he says, before a countdown to January 13 at midnight is displayed.
Timberlake has not announced a release date for a new record or specified whether it will in fact be an album, as speculated and reported by Billboard, which said it will contain 20 new tracks and was produced by Timbaland.
