Newly single Oscar-nominee Bradley Cooper already has a date lined up for the 2013 Academy Awards.
The actor revealed in an interview with E! News that he is bringing his mother Gloria to the ceremony.
When asked if he promised his mother she was his date for the big night, Cooper replied, "Oh yeah, that was done."
"One night, when I started the profession, [mom said] 'If you ever [get nominated] I am the date,'" he added.
Cooper reportedly split with actress Zoe Saldana in December. The two actors, who co-starred together in the film "The Words," previously dated for three months in 2012 before splitting in March. They later rekindled their romance a few months later before calling it quits at the end of the year.
The 38-year-old actor is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his part in the film "Silver Linings Playbook." The film is nominated for a total of eight awards including nods for Cooper's co-stars Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro and Jacki Weaver. Check out the full list of nominees here.
