Adele says it is "quite hilarious" that she won a Golden Globe Award, which was given for her title song to the James Bond film "Skyfall," and adds that her appearance at Sunday's ceremony marked her first night out since she gave birth to her son, whose name she refused to reveal.
The British singer, who already has nine Grammys, is also nominated for an Oscar for the track. (Check out a full list of Oscar nominations.)
Adele was in great spirits at the Golden Globes both on stage, when she accepted her award, and backstage, where she burst out laughing several times while answering questions from reporters about her win.
Check out 5 highlights from Adele's backstage appearance at the Golden Globes:
1. Adele calls win "amazing," "surreal" and "quite hilarious."
"It's absolutely amazing. It's very surreal and quite hilarious, 'cause it's not my field," Adele told them. "Like Grammys and stuff, although it's mind-boggling to win Grammys, whether it'd be one or however many, I'm not meant to really, you know ... amazing actors have these [Golden Globe] awards. So yeah, it's very weird, but incredible."2. Adele mentions her baby son, but won't reveal his name.
"I feel very excited tonight," she added. "I feel a little bit kind of over-excited -- it's my first night out since I had my child -- and my inspiration normally comes from heartbreak, but I don't think I'm ever going to be devastated again anymore, so we're good."Adele welcomed a baby boy with boyfriend Simon Konecki on Oct. 19, 2012.
Adele said she would not reveal her son's name, adding: "It's too personal and intimate. I'm enjoying him on my own, at the moment."
3. Bill Clinton was there?
Adele cracked up laughing after a reporter mentioned former President Bill Clinton, who appeared on stage at the Golden Globes to introduce a clip from the movie "Lincoln," which was nominated for Best Motion Picture - Drama.
"I didn't even know he was here!" Adele exclaimed.
4. Is Broadway next for Adele? "The next step is an EGOT," she joked, referring to the acronym used to describe a winner of an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony. "So I've got to do Broadway and be in a TV show. I'm going to do it -- I'm going to do a Whoopi. Yeah. Ha ha!"
5. Adele praises "edgy" James Bond actor Daniel Craig.
The singer praised Daniel Craig, who plays James Bond in "Skyfall," the third movie in the new franchise starring the actor. The film has made more than $1.03 billion since it was released on November 9.
"I think he's so edgy as Bond -- I think he's completely turned the vibe around as Bond, for the better, I think, in real kind of elegant Bond films. So, Pierce Brosnan was my first Bond and Daniel Craig will be my bond forever."
"It's a huge responsibility and a lot a lot of pressure to do any song for any film, let alone a Bond song," Adele said. "So that pressure was huge. I've had a huge, strange bizarre year with my album, "21," that just shot to beyond fame -- it was ridiculous. And I was pregnant. So I had my child like two weeks before the film came out, so it was bad timing," Adele said, laughing. "That's why I didn't know if I wanted to do it."
Earlier this month, Adele's second album "21" was been ranked the No. 1 best-selling album of 2012 in the United States, marking its second year in a row at the top of the list. The record has a breakup theme inspired by the singer's own love life and contains the hit singles "Rolling In The Deep," "Set Fire To The Rain" and "Someone Like You."
