Torrance rock concert fight: 1 fatally shot, another stabbed

TORRANCE, Calif.

That stabbing victim was reported to be in stable condition.

The incident happened in the parking lot of the Alpine Village Center in the 800 block of Torrance Boulevard shortly after midnight Friday.

Detectives said things got rowdy and a fight ensued during a concert. The altercation spilled out into the parking lot, where one 25-year-old man was shot and killed and another was stabbed.

Investigators say they're looking for as many as two different attackers. So far, they only have a vague description of the gunman, who they say is a white male.

"There were a lot of partygoers at the location and I believe when they heard the shot, numerous people left the location, so anybody that has information we are requesting them to contact L.A. County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau," said Lt. Holly Francisco of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

If you have any information about this incident, you're urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
