Oscars 2013: 10 facts to know about this year's ceremony

Emmanuelle Riva of &#39;Amour&#39; and Quvenzhane Wallis of &#39;Beasts of the Southern Wild&#39; are the only two first-time nominees in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role category, but that is not the record they set.   At 9 years old, Wallis is the youngest actress to ever be nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role category in the history of the Oscars.  The youngest person to ever be nominated for an Oscar in any acting category was Justin Henry of &#39;Kramer Vs. Kramer,&#39; who was 8 years old at the time.   The youngest woman to win an Oscar in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role category is Marlee Matlin, who won for &#39;Children of a Lesser God&#39; in 1987 at the age of 21. The youngest person to ever win an Oscar in any acting category is Tatum O&#39;Neal, who won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in 1974 for &#39;Paper Moon&#39; at age 10.   Emmanuelle Riva of &#39;Amour&#39; is, at 85 years old, the oldest person to be nominated for a lead acting award. Gloria Stuart still holds the record for the oldest acting nominee. She received a nod for her supporting role in &#39;Titanic&#39; at age 87. The oldest person to win an Oscar for acting is Christopher Plummer, who won at 82 years old in 2012 in the Best Performance Actor in a Supporting Role category for his part in &#39;Beginners.&#39;    All the other lead actresses nominated at the 2013 Oscars have been nominated at least one time before.
