"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Adrienne Maloof has been spending time with a younger man -- rock crooner Rod Stewart's son Sean following an ugly divorce and custody battle with her ex.
A paparazzi video posted on TMZ shows Maloof, 51, and Sean, 32, walking on a street in Beverly Hills and getting into an occupied black SUV on Saturday. She gets into the right backseat while he opens the front passenger door and sits in front of her. They refused to talk to a swarm of cameramen and photographers.
The website later stated that the two have been dating and are keeping it casual. TMZ quoted Maloof as saying: "Age is just a number ... It's about how good of a person you are ... [Sean] is a very funny guy. He's very giving, he mentors at the mission, works with at-risk children, and gives his time and money to get children off the streets."
Maloof's spokesperson had no immediate comment. The official website of Bravo, the cable channel that airs "The Real Housewives" reality series franchise, also carried the TMZ report.
TMZ said Maloof and Sean met recently through a mutual friend. Both attended US Weekly magazine's American Music Awards after party for The Wanted at the Hollywood nightclub Lure on November 19 and were photographed separately (pictured, above).
Sean once appeared on the short-lived reality show "Sons of Hollywood" and was also a cast member on season 2 of the VH1 reality show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" in 2008. He has battled addictions to various drugs, including heroin and cocaine, as well as prescription pills and alcohol.
Sean was once engaged to Chantel Kendall, who starred in the VH1 reality show "Baseball Wives" and is the ex-wife of retired Kansas City Royals baseball player Jason Kendall. She is nine years older than him. In 2011, the two were honored by the Union Rescue Mission for their work helping Los Angeles' homeless population.
Maloof's husband, Paul Nassif, filed for legal separation in July 2012 after 10 years of marriage. He submitted divorce papers at a Los Angeles court that August. The two, who have three sons together, reached a settlement in November following an ugly divorce battle, People magazine reported.
They reportedly had a prenuptial agreement in place, but it is unclear how their assets were divided. Maloof is the daughter of a billionaire, while Nassif is a wealthy plastic surgeon. He has appeared on several episodes of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," including during its current third season, as well as an episode of the E! reality show "Dr. 90210" in 2006.
Sean is part of a famous extended family. His mother is Rod's first wife Alana. The two are also parents to Kimberly Stewart, a Los Angeles socialite. Alana and ex-husband and actor George Hamilton are parents to a son, Ashley Hamilton, who is also a Los Angeles socialite, an actor and a former comedian.
