Morrissey has reportedly been hospitalized in Michigan with a suspected bladder infection.
The 53-year-old singer's spokesperson confirmed the news to Reuters on Saturday, January 26. The singer checked into Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, on Friday. It is unclear if the singer has been released from the hospital.
Morrissey, born Steven Patrick Morrissey, previously canceled a performance in Flint, Michigan, and also postponed two more shows, according to Billboard magazine. He has upcoming tour dates in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Morrissey rose to fame during the 1980s as a vocalist for The Smiths whose hits include "This Charming Man" and "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out." Morrissey went on to have a successful solo career after The Smiths broke up in 1987.
