A tourist from Hong Kong was killed in a robbery in West Covina on Friday.

Police said the 28-year-old man and his brother had stopped to eat at a restaurant at Eastland Shopping Center in the 100 block of Barranca Avenue around 2:30 p.m. When they returned to their car, two suspects assaulted and robbed them of cash.

The victim, Sheron Khemlani, suffered a head injury and died a short time later at the hospital. His brother suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Two men were seen running to a waiting four-door vehicle that was also in the parking lot. The vehicle was seen speeding away.

Investigators said they will be looking at surveillance video.

The West Covina Police Department is asking for the public's help. Anyone who was in the area of the restaurants there - Johnny Carino's, Chipotle, Islands and Ono Hawaiian - between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. is asked to call West Covina Police Department at (626) 939-8557.
