Jessica Chastain and Amy Adams stood out in colorful, printed dresses at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Oscars Luncheon on February 4.
Chastain, who is nominated for her leading role in "Zero Dark Thirty," wore a pink and blue lace, knee-length pre-Spring 2013 Erdem dress with sheer half-sleeves and nude pumps.
Adams, who earned an Oscar nod for her supporting role in "The Master," wore a wisteria-printed, chiffon, long sleeve, ankle-length Spring 2013 J. Mendel dress with cut out back detail and printed twill binding, nude Casadei platform pumps and Amrapali earrings.
Earlier this month, Chastain won a Golden Globe for her role as a CIA officer in "Zero Dark Thirty." The movie depicts the hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden, who masterminded the September 2001 attacks.
Chastain was previously nominated for both an Oscar and a Golden Globe for her performance in the 2011 movie "The Help."
In "The Master," Adams plays the daughter of Philip Seymour Hoffman's character, Lancaster Dodd, the leader of a mysterious philosophical movement. Joaquin Phoenix plays a Naval veteran named Freddie Quell who arrives home from war and becomes inspired by him.
Prior to this year, Adams earned three Oscar nominations, given for her performances in the films "June Bug," "Doubt" and "The Fighter."
