Kristin Cavallari is opening up about her fiance Jay Cutler's unique way of proposing.
Cavallari, 26, opened up to E! Online about her engagement to fiance Cutler, explaining how the NFL quarterback popped the question for a second time ... via text message.
"It was so silly," Cavallari said in an interview that will air as part of an E! special on March 10. "I was in the airport, leaving Chicago. We had just spent however many days together and we were texting and somehow it came up, like, 'Oh, shall we get married?' We're like, 'Yeah, OK.' And then he sent my ring in the mail. So I actually had my ring sitting at home for a couple of weeks before I put it on."
The pair initially announced their engagement in April 2011 after a trip to Cabo San Lucas, only to call it off months later in June.
In September, the pair reunited and Cutler was spotted in the "Dancing With The Stars" audience, cheering on Cavallari during her stint on the reality dancing competition. She was voted off of the series in the third week, much to the surprise of her fellow contestants.
Cavallari then announced in November 2011 that she and Cutler were engaged once again on her official Twitter page, writing: "This time its official. Jay and I are engaged again :)."
The reality starlet gushed to the entertainment outlet that while she doesn't want to give too much away, the wedding planning wheels are definitely in motion.
"We actually have a date - but we're not, you know, telling anyone details," she told E! News in the 2012 interview. "[We] know where, we know the colors, we have people booked ... I'm hoping to keep it around 160."
"We are thrilled to welcome Camden Jack Cutler into the world," Cavallari Tweeted on August 8. "He was born this morning weighing 7lbs 9oz. Everyone is doing great!"
Cavallari is best known for starring in reality shows like "Laguna Beach," "The Hills" and "Dancing With The Stars." Cutler, 29, is a quarterback for the Chicago Bears.
