New feud alert? Justin Bieber -- and his fans --are NOT happy about Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney's comments about his Grammys snub.
Carney's band won three awards at Sunday's award ceremony, bringing its total to seven, while Bieber, who was nominated for two in 2011, received no nods this year. After the 2013 Grammys, while standing on a busy street outside of the celebrity-favorite hotel and club Chateau Marmont, Carney was asked by a TMZ cameraman what he thought about the teen pop star being snubbed.
"Justin Bieber? He's rich, right?" the drummer replied. "I mean, I dunno. Grammys are for like, for music, not for money and he's making ... money. I dunno. He should be happy, I guess."
Bieber, one of the most popular singers in the world, issued a response on Twitter on Monday morning, saying: "The black keys drummer should be slapped around haha."
Carney reTweeted Bieber's message, adding: ":(."
Meanwhile, the musician has incurred the wrath of many of Bieber's some 34.3 million Twitter followers. As of Tuesday, February 12, Carney is still being bombarded with insults and other responses to his comments.
"The black keys drummer said Justin didn't deserve a Grammy .....HE NEEDS A PUNCH IN THE FACE WITH A BRICK," one fan said.
Another person Tweeted: "@patrickcarney I find absurd your comments and thanks to this thousands of girls it hate, and Justin is a young man with a great talent (sic."
"My twitter today has turned into a virtual Claire's Accessories," Carney said.
