In his new interview with GQ magazine for the March 2013 issue, Bruce Willis talks about his past sobriety, his childhood stutter and never getting nominated for an Oscar.

The 57-year-old actor, who next appears on screen in "A Good Day to Die Hard," revealed that he was sober for some time, but now feels he is old enough to have a drink or two without losing control of himself.

"I had been sober [for a while]. But once I realized that I wasn't gonna run myself off the pier of life with alcohol, drinking vodka out of the bottle every day ... I have wine now, mostly when I eat," he told GQ.

In 2009, Willis signed a contract to become the face of Sobieski Vodka, which he owns a part of. Check out the actor talking about the alcohol beverage here.

The actor also opened up to the magazine about one of his first acting roles as a child. It was in a show during his years as a Cub Scout and Willis claims he used to have a "terrible stutter."

"The Cub Scout years, I had a terrible stutter. But then I did some theater somewhere, probably in high school. And when I memorized words, I didn't stutter, which was just miraculous," Willis told the magazine. "That was the beginning of the gradual dispelling of my stutter. I thought I was handicapped. I couldn't talk at all. I still stutter around some people now."

Willis, who was never nominated for an Oscar, won a Golden Globe in 1987 for his role on the television series "Moonlighting." The role got him a total of three Golden Globe nominations and he was nominated in 1990 for his performance in the film "In Country."

The actor also won two Emmys, one for his guest spot on "Friends" and one for "Moonlighting."

He talked to the magazine about his lack of Oscar nominations, saying: "I don't think about it too much. It just always has seemed whimsical to me, to think about it."

"You don't get an Oscar for comedy, and you don't get it for shooting people," He added. "You get it for novelty, for being fascinating to watch in some character role. But the 'Die Hard' stuff and 'Dirty Harry' are all fraught with the same thing that every story is fraught with."

Willis also revealed to the magazine that he has a tattoo on one of his fingers with the date of his wedding to wife Emma Heming-Willis. The couple wed in 2009 and have a daughter together named Mabel who was born in April 2012. Willis also has three daughters from his previous marriage to Demi Moore.

When asked about his ink, the actor said, "It's a tattoo of the month and date that I got married to my wife, the mother of my child. It just seemed like a little thing I wanted to have there."
