Beyonce is set to have a big day on Saturday, February 16, with the premiere of her HBO documentary and her sit down interview with Oprah Winfrey. In the interview for "Oprah's Next Chapter," Beyonce opens up to Winfrey about her passion for performing, her pregnancy weight and her courtship with husband Jay-Z.

The 31-year-old singer and actress was asked by Winfrey if her daughter Blue Ivy took away her passion for performing and ended up talking about her pregnancy weight gain.

"No. I feel like ... I did a show three months after I gave birth, which was really crazy," Beyonce said, referring to a concert she gave in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in May 2012. "I had clearly never given birth and didn't know that I would gain 60 pounds."

"But I really wanted to know and I feel so fortunate to do my job. I love my job. I love singing. I love the way it feels," she said.

At the time of her Atlantic City concert, the singer had opened up to the audience about her weight loss saying, "Y'all have no idea how hard I worked ... I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!"

The singer also talked to Winfrey about falling for Jay-Z and revealed that the two were actually friends for a while before their relationship turned romantic.

"I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man," she said of Jay-Z. "It just gives me such a foundation."

"We were friends first for a year-and-a-half before we went on any date," she added. "On the phone for a year-and-a-half and that foundation is so important in a relationship and just to have someone that you just like is so important and someone that is honest."

Beyonce and Jay-Z wed in 2008 and welcomed daughter Blue Ivy in January 2012. Her interview for "Oprah's Next Chapter" airs an hour before the premiere of her HBO documentary "Beyonce: Life Is But a Dream."

The documentary, which was directed by Beyonce, is said to include first-person footage shot by Beyonce on her laptop as she reflects about her life in the spotlight and becoming a mother. The singer serves as the film's executive producer.

Beyonce will also cover other topics during her interview with Winfrey including letting her father go as her manager and a miscarriage she suffered before becoming pregnant with Blue Ivy.

The singer's interview for "Oprah's Next Chapter" is set to air on February 16 at 8 p.m. ET on OWN.
