Beyonce's HBO documentary is revealing and the singing star offers the first glimpse at her daughter Blue Ivy's face in over a year in the special, according to several reports.
The 1-year-old Blue Ivy can be seen in a screen cap from "Beyonce: Life Is But a Dream" that surfaced on the internet before the premiere of the documentary. The picture was featured on several sites including E! News. In the photo, little Blue Ivy is seen standing on her mother's lap.
Beyonce has previously posted only a handful of photos of Blue Ivy online, most of which obscures the child's face. The first pictures of Blue Ivy's face were published in February of last year and were featured on a Tumblr blog called HelloBlueIvyCarter. The blog is still up and the original pictures are the only photos on the page.
The singer also posted a few shots of Blue Ivy on her own Tumblr including one showing her holding her daughter on a boat and another photo of the little girl wearing a T-shirt featuring tour dates on father Jay-Z's tour.
Beyonce and Jay-Z, who married in 2008, welcomed their daughter in January 2011 in a New York hospital.
Saturday, February 16, is a big day for the singer. Not only is it the premiere date of her documentary, but it is also the air date of her sit down with Oprah Winfrey for "Oprah's Next Chapter."
It was previously reported that during the interview, which airs an hour before the documentary, Beyonce talks about her miscarriage, her desire to perform, her daughter and her relationship with Jay-Z.
Meanwhile, the documentary, which was directed by Beyonce, is said to include first-person footage shot by Beyonce on her laptop as she reflects about her life in the spotlight and becoming a mother. The singer serves as the film's executive producer.
The singer's interview for "Oprah's Next Chapter" is set to air on February 16 at 8 p.m. ET on OWN and "Beyonce: Life Is But a Dream" airs at 9 p.m. on HBO.
