Josh Brolin and Diane Lane are going their seperate ways.

Brolin and Lane, 48, are ending their eight year marriage, a rep for both actors told OTRC.com on February 21.

"It was a mutual decision," Us Weekly reported. "It is very amicable. It's not ugly, it's just over."

UPDATE: Diane Lane filed for divorce from Josh Brolin around Valentine's Day, OTRC.com has learned. Check out more details.

The pair wed in August 2004 and share no children together. This is the second marriage for both Brolin and Lane.

The news comes more than a month after Brolin was arrested on New Year's Day for misdemeanor public intoxication in Santa Monica, California. The 45-year-old actor was detained just before midnight on New Year's Day after police found him drunk on a sidewalk in the city.

This was not Brolin's first brush with the law. In 2004, he was arrested for spousal battery at the home he shared with wife Diane Lane. However, a spokesperson for the actor said at the time, according to People magazine, that it was "a misunderstanding" and that Lane did not want to press charges.

Lane is known for her role in films such as "The Perfect Storm," "Unfaithful," "Under the Tuscan Sun" and "Jumper."

Brolin is known for his roles in films such as "American Gangster," "No Country for Old Men," "W." and "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps."
