OTRC: David Bowie, Tilda Swinton are married ... in sexy, bizarre 'Stars' music video

Most perfect casting ever? David Bowie plays the husband of the equally as compelling Tilda Swinton in his new sexy music video, "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)," which sees the two shopping in a supermarket and being tormented by a celebrity couple.

The track was released earlier this week and is the second single from the record, "The Next Day," which is due on March 12 and is his first album in 10 years. It is the legendary British rocker's 30th studio recording and also contains the single "Where Are We Now?," which was posted online on his 66th birthday, on January 8.

In the music video for "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)," which contains nudity and sexual scenes, Swinton, 53, wears a curly wig while shopping for groceries with Bowie and later ditches it in favor of her natural short, choppy hair. The two are "a happily married couple," according to the video's synopsis, which was posted on Bowie's Facebook page.

After being haunted by two younger models in various scenes, the actress appears to go a little crazy -- she wears her hear spiked and teased in a messy updo, resembling Sideshow Bob from "The Simpsons," as she carves a raw chicken on a dinner table as Bowie sits and watches in bewilderment.

"Their world is disturbed and then re-arranged by the intrusion of a celebrity couple played by Andrej Pejic and Saskia De Brauw," the video's synopsis says. "Directed by Floria Sigismondi and shot by Jeff Cronenweth, this story at once captures a 21st century moment in its convergence of age, gender and the normal/celebrity divide."

Bowie, rose to fame as a glam rocker in the late 1960s and later performed often as his flashy alter ego Ziggy Stardust. Swinton, who played the White Witch in "The Chronicles of Narnia" films, is also known for her personal eclectic style.

Bowie last released a major record in 2003 -- the album "Reality." It was not as successful as his 1970s and 1980s mainstream releases," which include the singles "Let's Dance," "China Girl" and "Heroes."

The singer, who is notoriously private, has not performed in public since 2006, although that year, he did give a small sampling of a performance as himself in an episode of Ricky Gervais' comedy series "Extras." It is unclear whether he plans to go on tour to promote his new album (Check out a track listing as well as details about clip for the first single "Where Are We Now?")
