Michelle Obama announces Let's Move! Active Schools program

LOS ANGELES

The announcement was made on ABC's "The Dr. Oz Show." They want to get 50,000 schools to become active schools over the next five years. It's another initiative to help kids exercise.

With the help of a $50 million investment from Nike, the Let's Move! Active Schools program will help schools create active environments where students get an hour of physical activity before, during and after school.

Obama said too many schools have cut spending on physical education or cut it altogether to use the money for classroom instruction.
