The West Beverly High kids are saying farewell yet again.
The CW drama series "90210," a reboot of the cult 1990s show "Beverly Hills 90210," will end after the current fifth season this year, the network announced on Thursday, Feb. 28. The final episode will air on Monday, May 13 at 9 p.m. ET.
The original series debuted in 1990 and lasted 10 seasons. The new installment first aired in 2008 and initially focused on the move of a Kansas family to Beverly Hills, California, where Annie and adopted brother Dixon, played by "Degrassi" alum Shenae Grimes and Tristan Wilds, forged friendships and rivalries with the mostly-rich students of West Beverly Hills High School.
The show never received particularly high ratings but maintained a loyal fan base. An average of 2.2 million people watched the first season, which earned an average rating of 1.4 among adults between ages 18 and 49. The most recent episode, which aired on Monday, earned a 0.2 rating and was watched by about 580,000 people.
The "90210" cast members celebrated the show's 100th episode last fall (see photo, above, and check out more photos from a separate party, which featured series guest star Carmen Electra).

"90210" season 5 - recap (to Feb. 25) (Spoiler alert!)
During the past few years on "90210," the characters graduated from high school, with some enrolling in the local university and some pursuing other interests. The current season took a turn for the extra dramatic. So what's in store for the characters?
Liam - The heartthrob B-movie and commercial actor was the target of a kidnapping by a crazed female fan who pretended to be his bodyguard. After almost being shipped in a crate to southern Mexico, and probably also due to a past toxic relationship with his manager, Liam is suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Annie - Liam's ex-fiancee, wrote a book based on her past experience as a prostitute and her love life. She is also still into Liam, who is featured prominently in the novel.
Adrianna - the pop singer, played by Jessica Lowndes, is doing some soul while facing charges over an intentional wardrobe malfunction she carried out during a concert in a bid to get out of a contract with Dixon, a music producer and her ex-boyfriend.
Dixon - Luckily, he happened to discover a new aspiring singer -- who happened to be the future surrogate of Silver, the half-sister of original "Beverly Hills, 90210" actress Jennie Garth, who appeared in the earlier seasons of the new show.
Silver - the character is desperate to have a child after discovering she possesses a gene that makes her predisposed to cancer. Former BFF and sperm donor Teddy forced her to use a surrogate after she angered him by forging his signature on a consent form. With Teddy's coaxing, Silver allowed his boyfriend's sister Michaela, played by Lyndon Smith, to carry their child.
Navid - In addition to her new music career, Michaela is enjoying a new romance with Silver's ex-boyfriend, Navid, played by Michael Steger. This season, he joined a prestigious men's college club and later discovered how corrupt the group and its leader is.
Naomi - Following a breakup from her husband, former bad girl Naomi searched for her and Annie's long-lost half-brother, Mark, played by Charlie Weber. Turns out he is a taco truck chef and driver in Los Angeles. Following an impromptu cooking contest judged by Wolfgang Puck and a promise of a new restaurant plan, he agreed to accept her in his life. Adrianna and Silver took over his taco truck and began new careers as documentarians.
