OTRC: Demi Moore - Ashton Kutcher divorce: Actress seeks alimony in new filing

Demi Moore has filed her own divorce papers to counter estranged husband Ashton Kutcher's and is seeking alimony.

Moore, 50, submitted her papers to a Los Angeles court on March 7, more than two months after the 35-year-old actor, whose real name is Christopher A. Kutcher. He did not request spousal support. Also, while Kutcher requested that he and Moore each pay their own attorney fees, the actress wants him to front all bills. Both cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.

Kutcher, who replaced Charlie Sheen on the highly-rated CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men" in 2011, was named No. 1 on Forbes' 2012 list of Highest-Paid TV Actors. The financial outlet estimated that he earned about $24 million between May 2011 and May 2012.

Last year, Kutcher also filmed the biopic "Jobs," which sees him play the late founder of Apple, Steve Jobs. In addition to his acting work, he also makes money from previous investments in tech companies such as Skype, Spotify and Airbnb.

Moore's film career was most successful in the 1990s. She rose to fame as a member of the "Brat Pack" of young adult actors in the 1980s, with movies such as "St. Elmo's Fire" and "About Last Night..." She later played Patrick Swayze's love interest in the 1990 film "Ghost," one of the most popular romantic dramas of all time, and was seduced by Robert Redford in the 1993 movie "Indecent Proposal."

Also in the 1990s, she portrayed Esmeralda in Disney's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and showcased more of her sexy side in the 1996 film "Striptease." She shaved her head to pay a tough Marine in "G.I. Jane" in 1997. In 2003, she wowed audiences with a bikini scene in the blockbuster movie "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle."

Her film career has not been as successful during the past 10 years. She has starred mostly in independent films, including a 2012 movie titled "LOL," which also starred Miley Cyrus. It flopped at the box office. She appeared in another small film titled "Very Good Girls," which stars Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

In May 2012, she appeared in an ad campaign for the cosmetics and skin care line Helena Rubinstein.

Kabbalah wedding

Moore married Kutcher in a Kabbalah ceremony at their home in Beverly Hills on Sept. 24, 2005. Her ex-husband Bruce Willis and his and Moore's three daughters attended the wedding. She and Kutcher have no children together.

Moore was the first to announce her and Kutcher's split publicly, through her rep, on Nov. 17, 2011. On her divorce papers, she lists this as the official date they separated. Kutcher did not put down a date in his filing.

That day, Kutcher Tweeted: "I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK."

The split followed reports of alleged infidelity by Kutcher, which he never confirmed. The rumors did not involve other celebrities.

Following the split, Kutcher moved out of their Beverly Hills home. Moore suffered a health scare in January and was briefly hospitalized (LISTEN to the 911 call and read a transcript). She then reportedly underwent treatment at a rehab center in Utah and took a Caribbean vacation.

Moore and Kutcher have have largely stayed out of the spotlight since the split. Moore even stopped posting on Twitter for several months before returning in the spring of 2012. She made a rare public appearance on a January episode of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that was guest hosted by Matt Damon and also featured other celebrities, such as Nicole Kidman and Robin Williams.

Around the fall of 2012, Kutcher began spending time with his former "That '70s Show" co-star, Mila Kunis, 29. Paparazzi have photographed the two kissing, hugging and holding hands. Moore has not commented publicly about the relationship.
