Holly Madison recently revealed the name of her newborn daughter and why she chose the unique name.
Madison's daughter, who was born on March 5, is named Rainbow Aurora Rotella, the former "Girls Next Door" star told E! News. It is the first child for 33-year-old Madison and her boyfriend Pasquale Rotella.
The former Playboy Playmate explained to the entertainment news outlet, "I wanted to give my daughter a unique name."
"Growing up, there was a girl in my school named Rainbow and I was so envious of that name," she added. "I thought it was so pretty and unique!"
Rotella and Madison had been dating for over a year before she announced her pregnancy in August. Rotella is a 38-year-old party promoter and the CEO and founder of Insomniac events.
Madison also updated her fans on her official website about her experience being a new mom.
"Hi everyone! I just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful messages you guys have been posting! I appreciate them all," she wrote. "I've been spending the last day or so learning how to be a mom -- it's the best project in the world! I never thought I would be so happy -- especially on so little sleep!"
In recent years, Madison has starred in the highly-acclaimed Las Vegas burlesque show "Peepshow" as the starring character "Bo peep." The former playmate nabbed the role in June 2009, and has been performing in the live show ever since. She was recently replaced by Coco, wife of Ice-T and co-star of their reality show "Ice Loves Coco."
"The Girls Next Door" debuted in 2005 and also starred Hefner's then-girlfriends Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt. Following the series' end in 2010, Madison earned her own spin-off show, "Holly's World," which followed the playmate's life in Vegas.
