University officials say the student, who is not being identified, lives off-campus, and anyone who had close contact with that student should get tested.
He apparently went to the hospital last week with a really bad cough that wouldn't go away. After working with the county health department, administrators on campus notified all students and staff who had class with the sick student.
According to a campus spokesman, emails were sent to nearly 400 students, faculty and staff Friday, telling them they may have been exposed.
They don't know for sure whether the student has TB; confirmation should come within a few weeks. The student has withdrawn from classes and is receiving treatment.
The symptoms for TB include chest pains, a persistent cough or coughing up blood.
The school is urging any student who is worried to go into the health center for a free TB test.
